If you’re in the market for a new home in Dallas, there’s good news – Dallas was recently ranked in the top healthiest markets in the country for a new home, according to BUILDER Magazine. The Dallas metroplex added 50,800 jobs, almost a two percent increase in employment, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics named Dallas a “rebounding economy.”
Dallas continues to thrive because of the strong employment and affordable housing, drawing people and businesses here. At the year’s end the median home price was $149,000, just short of where it was during the peak of the market. More plans to develop the city’s downtown to cater to young professionals are in the works.
BUILDER Magazine expects a 52% increase in building, as builders and developers such as Grand Homes has added land to keep up with the demand for new homes in Dallas. Grand Homes is now opening new home communities in Ft. Worth, Prosper, Frisco, The Colony and Savannah.
