It’s that time again for an update on what’s been going on at the Grand Homes Hope House in Savannah, TX. The last time we checked in the forms and plumbing rough had been laid, and the foundation was getting set in preparation for the concrete pour (see more on that here). There wasn’t much going on back then, but now the house is really starting to take shape.
We were supposed to bring you an update on the completed frame of the home (phase two), but as you can see the framing phase was completed a long time ago. The progress on this house is moving so quickly! The men have already begun adding siding, decking, windows, vents, electrical roughs, roofing and the list goes on! Everyone is working very hard to ensure that a family is able to move into this house as soon as possible.
This 3 bed/2.5 bath home is priced at $200,956 and can be purchased at any phase of the construction process. The sooner the home is purchased the more say the future homeowners will have in the choice of design features.
The quick sale of this home is also important because the profit from this home will be used as the provision of microloans to entrepreneurs in impoverished countries to start or expand their small businesses. This enables them to earn a steady income to support their families and eventually rise out of poverty. This truly is a great cause because it touches the lives of so many people, and the sooner this home is purchased the sooner we can help.
Across the country, Homes for HOPE has reached out to over 100 builders, and Grand Homes has answered the call a third time to participate in the initiative that allows builders to have a worldwide impact simply by doing what they do best: building homes!
