We had such a great time with our visitors from the North Texas Food Bank yesterday. Corporate Engagement Manager Laura Hoagland, along with Carlos and Ricardo, stopped by Thursday afternoon to pick up the food collected at our home office, model homes and sales offices over the past few weeks.
We were all smiles as we gathered for a group photo at our home office with Grand Homes’ President & CEO Stephen Brooks and the North Texas Food Bank representatives.
Knowing we were able to help fellow North Texans this holiday season brightened our day. According to the food bank’s website, “Every dollar donated to NTFB provides three meals to hungry North Texans, and out of every dollar, 93 cents goes directly to hunger relief programs.” It can be easy to forget how much you can help someone else with such a small gesture, especially during the holidays.
The North Texas Food Bank is a great organization, and we could not think of a better way to honor them and their mission than by donating to help provide nutritious food, something that most of us take for granted. There are many ways to get involved. By donating food, money, your time as a volunteer, or becoming an advocate against hunger you could really make in impact on our community. Visit ntfb.org to find out how you or your organization can help spread some cheer over the holidays and all year ‘round!
