HOPE House Dedication – That’s A Wrap!

The HOPE House is officially complete! Last Thursday afternoon we held the Dedication Ceremony and Luncheon at the HOPE House homesite in Savannah, TX.  It was a gorgeous day perfect for celebrating the completion of such a thoughtful home, and for honoring all of the tremendous work Grand Homes and its’ trade partners accomplished in order to help those in need.

It was great to see all of the support for the completed project as several members of the community came out for the event.  Representatives from every organization that had a hand in making this home a reality were present, such as Leslie Crozier of Hot On! Homes and Jack Nulty of BMC West.

Our honored guest panel of speakers was made up of Jeff Rutt, CEO of Keystone Custom Homes and founder of HOPE International; Mike Lennon, Executive Director of Homes for Hope; Kathey Comer, Executive Vice Pesident of the HBA of Greater Dallas; and Sephen Brooks, President and CEO of Grand Homes.

The highlight of the day was hearing the moving testimonials given by Jeff Rutt about people from all over the world able to lift themselves out of poverty with assistance from this program.  He has witnessed first-hand the difference the money from these homes makes in the lives of so many, and it made everyone very proud to be part of such a great cause.

After the speaking portion of the event all of the trade partners were presented with certificates of appreciation, and our very own Stephen Brooks was honored with a Builder of the Year certificate from Homes for Hope.

This is the third home Grand Homes has built for Home for HOPE, and they have donated over $350,000 to HOPE International and its affiliates.  Grand Homes has intentions of continuing to build HOPE Homes well into the future in order to continue serving this cause.

This home is a 3 bed/2.5 bath equipped with a game room/children’s loft and covered patio.  The home also features a custom 8′ mahogany front door with the HOPE house logo inlay, beautiful hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, granite counters, and wrought iron staircase spindles. The home is currently on the market for $199,900.  You can see photos of the interior of the home here.

The profit of the sale will be used in the provision of microloans to entrepreneurs in impovrished countries to help lift themselves and their families out of poverty.  See more of the amazing work HOPE International does here, and Homes for HOPE.
