Dallas real estateSome good news for the Dallas real estate market – forecasts show Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston to expect the largest home price growth throughout the country in the upcoming year.

Estimates show North Texas prices will increase 2.7% in the next year. Houston prices are expected to increase 3.8%, according to Veros Real Estate Solutions, housing analysis firm.

“The primary reason for the strong Texas showing is that Texas cities did not have a huge run-up in prices that occurred with much of the rest of the country,” said Eric Fox, Veros’ vice president of statistical and economic modeling.” Unemployment rates in Houston, Dallas and other Texas cities are below the national unemployment rate.

“Also, the months’ supply of homes for sale in Texas is modest,” Fox said.

We’ve broke ground on our second Home for HOPE! The Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas, Homes for Hope, neighbors, and trade partners joined Grand Homes in McKinney as we dug up that dirt!

More than 75 attendees participating in the ground breaking, including a large group of Grand Homes’ trade partners – subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants – all donating or discounting their labor, materials, and services to help secure a large donation upon the sale of our Hope Home.

Grand Homes CEO Stephen Brooks said, “I can speak for our company team and trade partner family when I say that giving thousands of people in struggling communities around the world a chance to work themselves out of poverty is all the motivation we need!” Joining in the groundbreaking was Mike Lennon, executive director of Homes for Hope; Bob Morris, executive vice president of the HBA; and Mike Mints, Grand Homes vice president.

Bob Morris said, “Grand Homes represents the heart of our industry in doing this project…We’re very proud to be associated with them in this act of life-saving kindness.”

Thank you to BMC Select for donating our beautiful sign for the Hope Home and the vendors & homeowners who came out to support this cause!

Grand Homes will be contributing its own overhead and profit, including the donations from our trade in the final sum given to Homes for HOPE. HOPE’s primary service is the provision of microloans in 12 of the world’s most desperate countries. Starting at only $50, these loans enable entrepreneurs to start or expand their small businesses, creating a steady income that will lift their families out of poverty.

Grand Homes is excited to announce the groundbreaking celebration of our second Home for HOPE! Join Grand, members of the community and the Homebuilder’s Association of Greater Dallas as we break ground on the charity home this Wednesday, Sept 15th at 10 am at 8200 Cheatham Ct. in McKinney!

This charity home will be built by Grand Homes as part of our Shiloh Ranch community. The donation from the sale of the home, priced in the $220,000s, will benefit HOPE International, a microfinance network dedicated to alleviating world poverty by providing financial services for impoverished families. Grand Homes will be contributing its own overhead and profit including donations from trade partners in the final sum given to Homes for HOPE. See the impact of HOPE International and Homes for HOPE on youtube.

HOPE’s primary service is the provision of microloans in 12 of the world’s most desperate countries. Starting at only $50, these loans enable entrepreneurs to start or expand their small businesses, creating a steady income to lift their families out of poverty. Across the country, Homes for HOPE has reached out to over 100 builders, and Grand Homes has answered the call a second time to participate in the initiative that allows builders to have a worldwide impact simply by doing what they do best: building homes.

Despite a nation-wide crunch in the housing market, Stephen Brooks, CEO and owner of Grand Homes, believes in the idea of giving back. “Grand Homes has always supported, and will continue to support, many local charities to benefit the communities in which we build; Homes for HOPE allows us to have an impact beyond our own community to help eliminate poverty in areas of need throughout the world,” said Brooks.

Bob Morris, Executive Vice President of the HBA of Greater Dallas, praised the collaboration between Grand Homes and Homes for HOPE, saying, “The Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas is pleased to represent members, such as Grand Homes and Homes for HOPE, who see the value in serving the community both here in the Dallas Metroplex and abroad. It is a privilege to know that our members are making an investment in something bigger than themselves and their own financial gain. … Long-term, they are impacting lives and giving hope to generations down the road. We are excited to support and promote Homes for HOPE projects.”
